How do I boost my Facebook Post with SocialPilot?

In order to boost your Facebook Post using SocialPilot Ads, you will first and foremost require a Facebook Ads Account. You can check here how to connect your Facebook Ads account.

You can boost your Facebook post from your SocialPilot dashboard, using either of the three ways:

Boost Posts from the Delivered Post Tab:

Log in to the SocialPilot dashboard.

Click on Posts > Manage Posts.

Navigate to Delivered tab.

Click on the Boost Post button for the post that you want to boost.

A Boost Post Pop Up opens.

Fill in the requisite sections: 

  • Ad Account: Select the Ad account you want to use for Facebook Boost Post.

  • Ad Category: For businesses based in or targeting the U.S. and are creating Ads around the below-mentioned categories.
    None- For businesses outside the US and targeting audiences outside the US can choose to opt-out of targeting restrictions.
    Credit - For Ads that promote or directly link to a credit opportunity, such as credit card offers, auto loans, mortgage loans, and long-term financing. 
    Employment - For Ads that promote or directly link to an employment opportunity, such as full-time jobs, internships or professional certification programs.
    Housing- For Ads that promote or directly link to a housing opportunity or related service listings, such as listings for the sale or rental of a home or apartment, homeowners insurance, mortgage insurance.

  • Country: Choose the target country for your ad.
  • Objective: Select the objective you wish to achieve using Facebook Boost.

      Reach: Will make the post visible to a large number of your audience.

      Post Engagement: This will help you get more likes, comments, and shares.

      Traffic: If you want to increase the traffic on your website and blog.

Note: While selecting the objective keep a few things in mind: Post engagement cannot be selected as an objective for Carousel Post while Traffic is not applicable unless it is a link post or a Carousel Post.

  • Audience: Select your audience from the drop-down box.

  • Duration: Select the time period for which the boost post shall run.

  • Placement: You can go for either :

  • Automatic Placement: Under this, the placement of your Ad will be selected automatically, for both devices, i.e. both desktop and mobile.

    Edit Placement: You can choose the device type on which you want to publish the Ad- desktop, mobile or both. And, the platforms on which to publish the Ad - Facebook feed, Facebook Story, Messenger Inbox, or Audience Network. 
  • Total Budget: Enter the budget you want to allot for your Facebook boost post.

Note: You can see the expected potential reach of the audience at the bottom.

You can see the Preview of your ad post on the right side of the Boost Post pop-up, in either mobile or desktop view.

Click on Schedule Boost. Now, your post has been boosted successfully.

AS YOU CREATE A NEW POST

Log in to the SocialPilot dashboard.

Click on Post > Create Post.

Create a Facebook post and select the Boost option.

Fill in the requisite sections:

  • Ad Account: Select the Ad account you want to use for Facebook Boost Post.

  • Objective: Select the purpose you wish to achieve using Facebook Boost.

Reach: Will make your post visible to a large number of your audience.

Post Engagement: This will help you get more likes, comments, and shares.

Traffic: If you want to increase the traffic on your website and blog.

Note: While selecting the objective keep a few things in mind: Post engagement cannot be selected as an objective for Carousel Post while Traffic is not applicable unless  it is a link post or a Carousel Post.
  • Total Budget: Enter the budget you want to allot for your Facebook boost post.

  • Duration: Enter the duration for the Boost post. You have two options for this:

    By specifying the start and end dates for the Boost post.  By selecting the number of days for which the boost post shall run.
Note: If the starting date specified for the boost post is before the boost is published, it will show an ‘error’, and the post will not be boosted.
  • Audience: Select your audience from the drop-down box.

Note: The Audience shown for a particular ad account is the one you have created in the Facebook Ad manager. You can create a new audience by clicking on the “ Create Saved Audience” option, which will take you to your Facebook ad manager window.
  • Placement: You can go for either :

Automatic Placement: Where your Ad placement will be selected automatically on both devices i.e. it will be placed on both desktop and mobile.

Edit Placement: You can choose the device type on which you want to publish the Ad- desktop, mobile, or both. And, the platforms on which to publish the Ad - Facebook feed, Facebook Story, Messenger Inbox, or Audience Network.

Select the pages for which the boost post will be created. Now schedule your post by selecting one of the scheduling options which you can review and manage under the Manage Ads section in your SocialPilot.

We offer you the facility to boost your most popular post too. Within your SocialPilot, we'll show you the list of Most Popular Posts of your Facebook Pages (Even the one you haven't shared from SocialPilot) for the month.

To get the list,

Log in to the SocialPilot dashboard.

Click on Ads > Boost Popular Posts

Select the Facebook page whose popular posts you want to boost. You will see the list of your most popular posts for that Facebook page. Click on the Boost Post button for the post you wish to Boost.

Fill up the requisite sections as given above in the same way when you boost any Delivered posts
