Here’s how you can efficiently manage your accounts:

In this article

  1. Change or Add a New Team Member
  2. Add Time or Reset Schedule
  3. Delete a Connected Account
  4. Reconnect an Account

Change or Add a New Team Member

Start by logging into your SocialPilot account and go to Accounts > Manage Account from the sidebar menu. In the Manage Accounts section, you can change or add a new team member or client for multiple accounts. You can also modify schedules, edit groups, edit URL shorteners, and delete or reconnect individual accounts.

Now, let us change and add a new team member:

  1. Choose one or multiple accounts that you want to assign to a team member. Click on the Add Team Members.
  2. In the pop-up window, you can just search for and select the team member you wish to assign to the accounts. The team member will be assigned the same role for all your accounts.
  3. Click Save to finalize the assignment.

Add Time or Reset Schedule

Here is how you can add time or reset schedule on SocialPilot:

  1. Go to the account name and click on the account you want to modify.
  2. Adjust the schedule by removing the existing time slots and adding new days and times as per your requirements.
  3. Click on the Save button in the top right corner to apply the changes.

Delete a Connected Account

Here is how you delete a connected account on SocialPilot:

  1. Go to the account you want to delete and click on the Options icon > Delete icon.
  2. A confirmation window will appear. Click on Delete to confirm the removal of the account.

⚠️ Note: When you delete a particular account from SocialPilot, all queued posts on the platform associated with the account will also be deleted.

4. Reconnect an Account

Disconnection of an already connected account may happen due to several reasons:

  • Changing a social media account password automatically expires your access token, requiring you to reconnect.
  • Some platforms (like Facebook) only allow content sharing through third-party tools for a limited time (e.g., 60 days), after which you must reconnect.

Now, let's see how to reconnect an account.

  1. Accounts that need reconnecting will show an error message. Select the account you want to reconnect and click on the Reconnect button.
  2. This action will direct you to the social media site, where you must re-enter your password. Once you have done this, the reconnection is complete.

✅ If your post contains an error and the account doesn’t show the red reconnect button, you may need to force reconnect. To do this, click on the account name or the Edit icon, then click the Reconnect button.
