Does SocialPilot Provide TikTok Direct Publishing?
Introduction
SocialPilot offers TikTok direct publishing, allowing you to schedule and publish your TikToks without any push notifications or manual interventions. You can plan your TikTok content and let SocialPilot handle the rest. However, if you prefer to make last-minute changes or need reminders, you still get the option to use mobile reminders to publish your TikToks.

How to Opt for TikTok Direct Publishing?
Here is how you can do direct publishing for TikTok from SocialPilot:
Go to Create Post and select the TikTok tab to create your TikTok post.
Click on the Video Upload icon and upload your video. You can select a video from your local device or from cloud storage like Dropbox, Google Drive, or Box.
📋 Note: TikTok video requirements:
- Length: 3 seconds to 10 minutes
- Format: MP4 or MOV
- Max size: 512 MB
- Resolution: 360-4096 px (height/width)
- Frame rate: 23-60 FPS
- Codec: H.264, H.265
- Choose a thumbnail from the provided stills.
Enter a description (up to 2,200 characters). You can add hashtags, emojis, and mention user profiles by entering their exact username.
- The default mode is Direct Publishing. If you want to proceed with direct publishing, you will need to specify the following options:
- Privacy Settings: Choose who can view your TikTok video:
- Public: Visible to everyone.
- Mutual Friends: Visible to followers whom you follow back.
- Self: Visible only to you.
- Allow Users To: Set permissions for TikTok users to engage with your video by allowing comments, duets, or stitches. If your TikTok profile settings disable these options, the platform will override the video settings.
📋 Note: By default, all engagement settings (comments, duets, stitches) are enabled.
Choose the TikTok account and set the time and date for your post using the scheduling options.
📋 Note: You can cross-post your TikTok video to different social platforms by scheduling it across multiple profiles simultaneously.
- If you are promoting your brand or a third-party brand, you must declare it by selecting the Branded Content option. This option becomes mandatory if the privacy is set to Public or Mutual Friends.
📋 Note: You cannot set the privacy as "Self Only" if you have selected Branded Content.
📋 Note: When creating a TikTok post, if you do not specify a privacy setting, the post will automatically be set to 'Public to everyone', making it visible to all users by default.
📋 Note: The maximum posting limit may vary among creators (typically around 15 posts per day/ creator account) and is shared across all API Clients using Direct Post.
How to Share TikTok Videos Using Push Notifications?
If you would like to make any last-minute edits or prefer manual control over the final post, you can opt for mobile reminders. Here’s how you can share TikTok videos using push notifications
Before starting, make sure to download and log into the SocialPilot app on your mobile phone for Android or iOS and notifications for the app are enabled to receive the mobile reminder.
Follow the steps below to learn how to share TikTok videos using push notifications:
- The steps for creating the post are similar: Create Post > Select TikTok tab > Upload Video > Select Thumbnail > Add Description.
Toggle from Direct Publishing to Mobile Reminder under the description field.
At the scheduled time, you will receive a push notification on your phone.
Click Share on TikTok from the notification or the Scheduled Posts section under Reminders in the app.
SocialPilot will take you to your TikTok account with a preview of the post. Tap on Share Now and then tap Proceed to copy the post description to your clipboard.
- Paste the description in TikTok’s caption box and click Post to finalize your scheduled TikTok.
📋 Note: If you miss the notification, you can still find the post under the Scheduled Posts tab in the Reminders section of the SocialPilot app.
Why Do I Need Credentials To Share on My Client’s TikTok Account?
As a matter of fact, you do not necessarily need your client's TikTok credentials to post to their accounts. In case you select Mobile reminder instead of Direct Publishing for scheduling their TikTok posts, then you or your client would need to approve the publishing from their TikTok application.
