How to Add Subtitles to Video on SocialPilot?
Subtitles enhance the accessibility and reach of your video content by making it comprehensible to a broader audience, including those who are deaf or hard of hearing non-native speakers, and viewers in sound-sensitive environments. They also improve engagement and SEO performance, leading to higher viewer retention and better search rankings.
Here is how you can add subtitles to a video from SocialPilot.
- Click on the Create Post button in the top menu
- Now click on the video icon to upload your video file.
- Scroll down to the Video Subtitles section below the video upload area.
- Click on the Add File button to upload your subtitle file. Ensure your subtitle file is in .srt format, as this is the only supported format.
- After uploading the .srt file, select the language of the subtitles from the dropdown menu.
- Choose a thumbnail for your video from the available options or upload a custom thumbnail.
- Enter the video title and description in the respective fields.
- Add any relevant tags, UTM parameters, or additional post settings as needed.
- Preview your post to ensure everything looks correct.
- Click Save as Draft or Add to Queue to schedule your post for publishing.
📋 Note:
- Only .srt files are supported for subtitles. Ensure your subtitle file is properly formatted to avoid upload errors.
- You can publish videos with subtitles on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. However, there are some limits:
YouTube and Facebook: You can upload up to 4 subtitles files per video.
LinkedIn and Twitter: You can upload just one subtitle file with one video.
- Subtitles are only available for Posts and not for Stories and Reels.
