How to Add Tags to My Content?

Tags are customizable, descriptive labels that can be applied to social media posts at various stages of the content creation and publishing process. They are an essential feature, allowing users to categorize, sort, and manage their social media content. By using tags, group posts based on themes, campaigns, content types, or any other criteria that suit your social media plans.

Who has access?

All team members- the owner, admin, manager, and content scheduler can create and use tags on SocialPilot.

Create Tags

Creating and managing tags in SocialPilot is a straightforward process.

  1. Go to the 'Setup' section in the left sidebar and click 'Tags.’

  1. Press the 'Create Tag' button.

  1. A dialog box or a new screen will appear where you can enter the details for your new tag. Start by typing in the desired name for your tag in the 'Name' field. Choose a name that clearly represents the category or theme the tag will be associated with.

Next, select a color for the tag. SocialPilot provides a color picker with a range of colors to choose from. Select a color that stands out and is distinct from other tags if possible. The color choice helps visually distinguish tags in the content calendar and during content management, enhancing usability and visual organization.

You can also create tags to post in the entire SocialPilot workflow.

  • Create Post Modal: Create and apply tags directly from the 'Create Post' modal.

  • Content Library: Apply tags to existing items within the Content Library.

  • Manage Posts: Add tags to posts of all status- drafts, queued, delivered, error, and pending review.

  • Save your changes to update the tag.
