How to Create and Manage QR Codes for Business Locations?

The QR Code scanner feature allows you to create, customize, and manage QR codes for various business locations. These QR codes can be shared digitally or printed for placement in locations like desk tents, restaurant tables, kiosks, and more. When scanned by a customer, the QR code redirects them to a dynamic feedback or review page, helping businesses streamline their customer interaction.

Let us see how to create and manage QR codes for different business locations:

  1. Login to your SocialPilot Reviews and from the side panel click on Locations > QR Codes.

  1. From the screen click on Create new QR from top right or the centre.

  1. You will be directed to a screen where you need to configure the QR code. Now fill in the necessary details:
  • Location: Select the business location for which you are generating the QR code from the dropdown menu.
  • Name: A default name will be generated for the QR code, but you can customize it to suit your needs.
  • Target Page: Redirect to a review platform (e.g., Google, Facebook) or a Feedback Page (to capture and process user feedback privately).

⚠️ Note: If you choose a listing platform like Google or Facebook, the Feedback Page option will be disabled.

  • Logo: Upload a logo or use one saved in the system.
  • Logo size: Select the logo size you would want the user to see- Small, Medium (default), or Large
  1. Configure the Feedback Page (If Applicable)

If you select the Feedback Page as the target, additional details need to be configured to create a dynamic and engaging user experience. Fill in the following sections:

  • Capture Feedback Threshold: Define the threshold for ratings (e.g., 4 stars and above).Higher ratings can redirect users to review platforms, while lower ratings capture feedback internally.
  • Logo Size: Ensure the branding is consistent with the rest of your materials.
  • Review Platform Icons: Display icons for connected review platforms (e.g., Google, Yelp).
  • Page Header: Add a welcoming and branded message for your users.
  • Rating Section: Provide users with an intuitive way to rate their experience.
  • Feedback Form: Enable customers to leave detailed feedback about their experience.
  • Thank You Page: Customize the final page to thank customers for their input and guide them to additional actions.
  • Page Footer: Add any additional branding or contact information.
  1. Now, click on Click to Generate to view the QR code.

This will generate the QR code for the location you choose in the beginning.

  1. After you are satisfied with the preview, you can perform the following actions:
  • Save: Finalize the QR code and save it for future use.
  • Export Options:
    • SVG: Vector-based format for high-quality printing.
    • PDF: Suitable for sharing and printing.
    • Image: High-resolution JPG for digital use.
    • QR Only: Export the QR code as a standalone image without additional elements.
    • Print: Use the browser's print function to create physical copies for POS, billing counters, posters, etc.
    • Duplicate: Create an exact copy of the QR code with updated configurations.
    • Delete: Remove the QR code (requires confirmation).

💡Note: Once printed, the QR code remains dynamic, allowing you to change its redirection target anytime without reprinting.
