This will give you the analytics report for the last three months.

How to View a Custom Date Report?

SocialPilot enables users to view analytics reports for any custom date range within the past 3 months from the present date. Here's how to access reports for a specific custom date range:

  1. Open up the report you want to see for a custom date range.
  2. Once the report opens up, go to the custom timeline dropdown below the blue Share button and click on Custom Date.
  3. Now add the start and end date in the given fields or use the custom date range picker to point out the timeline.

  4. Click on Done.

Now, SocialPilot will fetch the analytics for the custom date you have defined.

How to Download the PDF Report?

In addition to all the customizations to reports, SocialPilot allows you to download those reports in PDF format. Follow these steps to download your own PDF report:

  1. Go to the Analytics menu.
  2. Select Manage Reports to access any Custom Report you have created, or click on any of the platforms to view account analytics for a specific account.
  3. Select the date range for which you want to create the report.
  4. Go to the blue Share button on the top right side of the page and select Download PDF.

  5. Wait for a few seconds as the PDF report is generated and downloaded to your device.

How to Add Custom Text, Image and Title to a Report?

You can add custom elements such as text, images, and titles to a report from the custom report editor. You can do this in new reports and pre-existing ones as well.

  1. Open the report in which you want to make changes.
  2. Once the report template is open, go to the right menu bar and select Common Blocks.
  3. There are three types of elements: Text, Image, and Title.
  4. Click on the desired element, and drag and drop it anywhere on the report template.
  5. Click on the placeholder to add text or image of your choice.

You can add these custom elements to new reports, as well as reports for single accounts.

How to Add/Remove Metrics from the Report?

You can add and remove metrics from your reports with the help of the custom report builder.

  1. Access the desired report from either platform-specific analytics or from the Manage Reports dashboard.
  2. Go to Edit Report for platform-specific analytics report.
  3. You will be taken to the report builder with the metrics menu on the right side of the page.
  4. The report template will already have certain metrics.
  5. To add a metric, you can search its name on the search bar at the top of the menu or click on the dropdown beside the account name at the bottom of the editor and look for the metric.

  6. When you find the metric, just drag and drop it on the report at the desired spot.
  7. To remove a metric on the report, hover over it and click on the visible three dots.
  8. Click on the top-right corner of the block and select Delete.

How to Increase the Height and Width of the Analytics Block?

Some of the metric blocks and graphs in the analytics reports can be enlarged. If you open the report editor, the blocks become active and editable. To change or adjust the size of a block in any way, hover over it to locate the “⅃” anchor in the bottom corner. Click on it and drag it out or in to get the block to the desired size and let go.

However, certain blocks have some size limitations and can not be enlarged. Graphs, for that matter, can't be changed in height, but their width can be increased.

How to Add More Pages to a Report?

You can add as many pages to your existing report template as needed. Once you open the report you want on the report builder, go to the top of a page to find a dividing line. This line is visible at the start of every page. Locate three dots at the right end of this line and then click Add Page from the visible options.

How to Reorder the Pages?

The pages in SocialPilot’s report appear in a default order in which metrics appear. However, you can rearrange the pages according to your needs. To do so, open the report editor and navigate to the right menubar. After that, locate the Pages tab beside the Blocks tab. When you open the Pages tab, go to the list of pages and click and drag any particular page by the anchor (which appears as six dots) on its right. Place it as you want in the spot of your choice. This will reorder the sequence of pages.

What is Live Data?

The Live Data button appears at the top of the report editor dashboard. When you open your report in the editor, the data you see is dummy data. To see the report with real-time data of your analytics, you can click on the Live Data button. This redirects you to a new page, which will show a preview of your report with the changes you have made with real-time data from your accounts.

The Report Does Not Show Actual Data. Am I Doing Anything Wrong?

If you are not able to see actual data in your reports, it is because you are seeing those reports in the report editor. When you are making changes in the reports, SocialPilot shows you dummy data. If you want to see actual data in your reports while editing, click on the Live Data button. Doing this will open a report preview with real-life data.

How to Hide Comparison of Analytics Report With the Previous Period?

The metric blocks and graphs in reports often show the percentage change in the particular figure so you can compare the current values with the past performance. However, if you don't want to show the comparison of the current data with the past one, you can very easily hide it from sight. Here is how you can do it.

  1. Open the particular report in the report editor.
  2. Go to the Settings icon (in the shape of a gear)  beside the blue Share button.

  3. Go to the Toggle button saying “Show report comparison on blocks” and switch it off.

  4. Now click on Save to save the setting. This will make the comparison invisible on your reports.

If you want to share a particular report with a person, you can do so by generating a link.

  1. Just open your report in the report editor.
  2. Go and click the Settings icon.
  3. Switch from Details to Shareable Link, enter the email address of the person you want to share the report with and click on Add. This will send the
  4. When you add a valid email address, two options will appear: Copy link and Resend link.

  1. You can click on the Copy icon to copy the link to the clipboard and send it through any channel you want.
  2. Click on the Save button at the bottom of the popup to confirm all the recipients you have added. This action will send the report to the added addresses.
  3. If someone has not received the report link, you can click on the Resend icon to send it to them again.

8. To remove an email address from the list, hover over that id, and then click on the delete icon.

Why do Meta and SocialPilot Show Different Analytics?

Meta calculates analytics data differently as it has access to first-hand information. SocialPilot on the other hand, fetches authentic data from from Meta using the APIs it provides. Differences in how each platform calculates metrics, uses attribution windows, and syncs data can lead to slight variations in the reported numbers.

How are Reach/Impressions Calculated?

Reach and Impressions are not the same thing. According to Meta Insights, here is the definition of these terms-

Reach: Total number of unique accounts that have seen the content in question.

Impressions: Total number of times the content has appeared on screen, including the repeating views.

Why Have Some of the Metrics Been Removed From Facebook Analytics?

Some of the metrics in SocialPilot’s Facebook are no longer available as Meta itself has stopped providing data for them. Meta has deprecated these metrics due to the data becoming unreliable and difficult to maintain.

Why am I Not Able To Download Analytics Reports?
