How To Add, Save, and Reuse Mention Groups
Saved Mention Groups allow you to mention multiple accounts at once and reuse those same mentions across future posts. This helps reduce repetitive work and ensures consistent mentions when publishing a campaign or recurring content. This feature builds on the existing Mention Groups capability by adding the ability to save groups for future use.
How to Add and Save Mention Groups
There are 2 ways of doing this:
- From the SocialPilot app side menu:

- Go to Setup and select Mention Groups.
- Then, add Mention Groups by naming the group and selecting the desired accounts.

- Directly while creating a post:
- When customization is OFF, you can save sets of mentions as Mention Groups.
- Just select the Mention Groups option represented by @
- Choose Add Mention Group.
- Name the group and select the accounts.
- Select Add to Post + Save Group.

How to Use Mention Groups
- Start composing your post.
- When customization is OFF, you can see sets of mentions as Mention Groups.

- Select the Mention Group option represented by @
- Choose an already existing Mention Group you want to add and select Add to Post.
- Or add a New Mention Group and select Add to Post + Save Group.
- Both ways, the Mention Group will be added to your post.
Customizing Mentions After Adding a Group
- After adding a mention group, you can continue editing your post as usual.
- Individual mentions can still be added or adjusted.
- Changes made to mentions in a post do not affect the saved group unless you resave it.
🗒️ Please note:
Saved Mention Groups are shared across your team to support smooth collaboration.
- When an Owner, Admin, Manager, or Content Scheduler creates a Saved Mention Group, it becomes visible to all other team members.
- In Manage Mention Groups, the ‘Created By’ column helps you identify who created each group.
- Client users have their own private Saved Mention Groups. Groups created by a Client user are visible only to that user.
- Content Schedulers can use Saved Mention Groups, but do not have permission to delete them.
