Finding the RSS feed URL for a website is essential if you want to automatically pull and share content from that site using SocialPilot. While many websites make their RSS feed URL readily available, some may not be as straightforward. Fortunately, there are several methods you can use to locate a site's RSS feed URL, ensuring you can integrate it seamlessly into your SocialPilot workflow.
In this guide, we will walk you through different ways to find a site's RSS feed URL, even if it's not immediately visible on the website.
Here is how you can do it:
- Most websites have a standard RSS feed URL format that looks like this: www.websitename.com/feed . Replace "websitename" with the actual name of the site you are trying to connect. If this URL works, you have found the RSS feed.
Go to the website you want to find the RSS feed for. Right-click anywhere on the page and select the View Page Source option.
- In the page source, use the search function (Ctrl + F or Command + F) to look for the term RSS. If you find a link that begins with https and includes RSS, copy it—this is the site's RSS feed URL.
- If you are using Google Chrome, you can install a third-party extension made to find RSS feed URLs. Once installed, the extension will automatically detect and display the RSS feed URL for the site you are visiting.
- Many websites place an RSS icon on their homepage or in the footer. This icon usually looks like a small orange square with white radio waves. When you click on the icon, it will display the RSS feed URL that you can copy.
