How To Schedule YouTube Videos and Shorts With SocialPilot?


Scheduling YouTube videos through SocialPilot allows you to automate your video marketing strategy, ensuring consistent content delivery without the need for manual uploads. This saves time and helps you maintain a regular posting schedule, maximizing your reach and engagement on YouTube. Additionally, by using SocialPilot, you can easily manage and optimize video content across multiple platforms from a single dashboard, making your overall social media management more efficient and streamlined.

But before you schedule a video, you need to connect your YouTube account. <Click here> to know all about it.

  1. Go to the Create Post section in SocialPilot.
  2. Upload your video from the Media section. You can select a video from your local device or from cloud storage options like Dropbox, Google Drive, or Box. You will also see your Recently Uploaded files here for quick reuse.

  1. Once the video is uploaded, you can enter the Title (within 100 characters) of your YouTube video directly inside the Media block. 

  1. To change the thumbnail, click on the Change Thumbnail option beside the uploaded video.

🚨 Note: The Edit Thumbnail option for YouTube is only available if you have a verified channel on the platform.

  1. Now you will find multiple options to upload a thumbnail. Upload the shot you think will best complement your uploaded video.
  • Upload from URL.
  • If your image is hosted online, paste the URL of the image in the designated field and click Upload.
  • To upload a file from your computer, click on My Device, then navigate to the image file you wish to use and select it.
  • If your image is stored in a cloud storage service, click on the respective service icon. You will need to log in to your account (if not already connected) and select the image you want to upload as a thumbnail.

  1. After uploading the thumbnail, click Save.

Use the Preview panel on the right to confirm how your video will appear before scheduling.

Enter Video Details

Caption/Description:

Write your video description in the Caption box. You can include text, links, emojis, and formatting just as you would for any other post.

Under YouTube Options, configure the required settings:

Privacy

Select from:

  • Public
  • Private
  • Unlisted

Content Category

Choose the appropriate category for your video.

License Rights & Ownership

  • Standard YouTube License: Restricts redistribution without consent.
  • Creative Commons: Allows reuse with proper attribution to the original author

Playlist

Select a playlist to add the video to.

Video Tags

Enter relevant tags to improve discoverability.

Additional Settings

  • Allow Embedding: Permit others to embed your video on their websites.
  • Publish to Subscriptions Feed and Notify Subscribers: Enable immediate notifications to subscribers.
  • Made for Kids: If enabled, restricts the video to underage viewers and disables monetization.

Select the YouTube channel from the Accounts list and schedule your post using one of the scheduling options like Schedule Post, Share Now, Share Next, or Add to Queue.


Your video will be published on YouTube according to the settings and time you choose.
