In SocialPilot Reviews, Listing Platforms and Review Platforms are two types of integrations that help manage your business’s online presence. While they both play important roles in managing your business data and reviews, they serve different functions and have distinct features.
Listing Platforms help keep your business details accurate across various platforms, while Review Platforms focus on managing and responding to customer feedback.
🔁Notes:
- When you connect GBP or Facebook as a listing platform, it is automatically added as a review platform as well.
- However, when you connect either of the two platforms as a review platform, you can opt for it to be added as a Listing platform as well or only be a review platform.
- When a listing platform is disconnected for a specific location, it gets disconnected as a review platform as well.
Below is a simple comparison to help you understand their key differences and similarities.
Listing Platforms | Review Platforms | |
|---|---|---|
| Purpose | Syncs business details (name, address, hours) across platforms. | Manages reviews and ratings from platforms (e.g., Yelp, Tripadvisor). |
| Connection | All platforms require authentication. | Except for GBP and FB pages, platforms don’t require authentication. |
| Opt-In | Must manually opt-in to enable sync for Listing Platforms. | Can be connected manually or be automatically synced for reviews when connected for listing. |
| Platforms/Publishers Supported | Google Business Profiles, Facebook pages | GBP, FB, Tripadvisor, TrustPilot, Yelp, Influenster, Zillow, YellowPages, etc. |
These were the basic differences between a listing platform and a review platform. However, more often than not, publishers and review platforms are one and the same.
Key Similarities:
Here are ways listing publishers and review platforms behave similarly on SocialPilot Reviews:
- You can manage business information and reputation across multiple networks from the same dashboards.
- Both listing platforms and review platforms are intrinsically linked to a specific location.
- Google Business Profiles and Facebook are both listing platforms and review platforms.
- Both allow on-demand syncing to fetch the latest updates.
- You can not connect a Facebook Page or Google Business Profile as a listing platform or review platform if it is already connected to a different location, brand, or SocialPilot Reviews account.
- You can track if your platforms are synced or if they have any issues in the connection.
- Both types allow you to disconnect platforms at any time.
- Both show sync issues and allow you to fix them directly.
- Download data for both types to track listing platform status or review insights.
Understanding these features and how they work together will allow you to maintain a strong and consistent online profile.
