A listing is your business's profile on a platform where customers search, like Google Business Profile, Facebook, or one of the many additional publishers now available. Every listing pulls from the same location details, so keeping those details accurate keeps every listing accurate too.
Check out how easy it is to create and add your business Listings in SocialPilot Reviews in this walkthrough video:
This is an opportunity to explore all the capabilities that help you manage your business listings.

What Platforms are Supported for Listing Management?
SocialPilot Reviews connects your business to Google Business Profile, Facebook, and a growing network of additional publishers, search engines, maps, and directories, including names like Apple, Amazon Alexa, Bing, and Snapchat.
The publishers available to you depend on where your business is registered. A business in the United States sees a different set of publishers than one in India, for example, and any publisher not supported in your business' country appears grayed out with a short explanation when you hover over it.
If you manage locations for clients as an agency, the publisher list always follows the client business's registered country, not your own.
How to Add Listings to a Location?
Every scenario below starts the same way, by getting to the Listings page for the location you want to work with:
- Log into SocialPilot Reviews.
- Use the Brand switcher and Location switcher in the top navigation.
- Select Listings from the side menu.
- View the available listing platforms.
Google Business Profile connects one of four ways, depending on where things already stand for this location and account. Find the scenario below that matches, and follow it through.
Scenario 1: Existing SocialPilot user with connected GBP account
If this Google Business Profile is already connected to your SocialPilot account, import it directly instead of signing in again.
- Click Opt-in for GBP.
- Select Import from SocialPilot.
- Choose the Google profile from the fetched options.
- Click Opt-in to connect the listing.
Scenario 2: GBP connected as a review platform only
If this Google Business Profile is already connected here as a review platform but not yet as a listing, one more step adds the listing connection too.
- Click Opt-in.
- Authenticate your Google profile if prompted.
- The connection is established.
Scenario 3: Creating a brand new GBP listing
If this location doesn't have a Google Business Profile yet, create one directly from this screen.
- Click Opt-in, then Connect New.
- Log into the Google account you want to use.
- Switch to the Create New radio button.
- Complete the required location details.
- Verify the listing through code-based verification (email, text, or phone) or video verification.
Note: If you skip verification, your listing will not be visible on Google search.
Scenario 4: Existing GBP not connected to SocialPilot
If a Google Business Profile already exists for this location but has never been connected to SocialPilot, connect it directly.
- Click Opt-in and select Connect New.
- Authenticate the Google account.
- Select the existing account without a Connection Exists badge.
- Click Opt-in.
Whichever scenario matched, the Google Business Profile listing is now connected and ready to sync.
Facebook Listing Connection
Unchanged from the current article. Nested under How to Add Listings to a Location? above, not its own top-level section, matching the real page.
Facebook connects the same straightforward way.
- Click Opt-in beside Facebook.
- Authenticate the Facebook account that manages your Page.
- Grant Content and Community access when prompted.
Note: You cannot create new Facebook listings from the SocialPilot workspace, due to Meta restrictions. Your Facebook Page needs to already exist before you connect it here.
With both connected, Google Business Profile and Facebook now appear in Listings alongside each other, ready to sync.
How to Add Listings on Other Publishers?
Beyond Google Business Profile and Facebook, SocialPilot Reviews connects you to a wide network of additional publishers, grouped by parent company. Opting in to Apple, for example, also opts you in to Apple Maps and Siri, since they share the same underlying listing.
These publishers use Direct Opt-in, so there is no separate login for each one individually.
Opt in to one publisher
- Go to Listings and select the required Brand and Location.
- Find the publisher you want to add.
- Click Opt-in beside it.
- Review the location information that will be shared.
Confirm to submit the request.
Opt in to multiple publishers at once
- Select the checkbox beside each publisher you want to add, or check Direct Opt-in to select every publisher available through this method at once.
- A bar appears showing how many publishers are selected, with a Clear all link and an Opt-in button.
- Click Opt-in to submit the request for all selected publishers.
Note: Publishers beyond Google Business Profile and Facebook are part of the Listings and Reputation + Listings Bundle plans. On the Reputation plan, selecting Opt-in shows the option to upgrade. If you are on an earlier Starter or Pro plan, you can keep managing your Google Business Profile and Facebook listings as before.
The Result of Adding a Listing to SocialPilot Reviews
When a listing is added:
- Your business becomes discoverable and visible on that platform.
- Your location appears in relevant search results.
- The listing contains your saved location details.
- Pre-existing listings align with your SocialPilot Reviews location information.
- Connected listings automatically become review platforms.
For a publisher beyond Google Business Profile and Facebook, this alignment is not instant. The publisher's status moves to Processing, then Syncing, while SocialPilot Reviews shares your location details in the background, and it typically takes one to two weeks to fully appear on the publisher's own site or app. See How to Manage Listings? for a full breakdown of statuses and how to fix issues along the way.
