How to Schedule Instagram Posts, Reels, and Stories With SocialPilot?

Instagram’s API update now allows SocialPilot users to schedule posts, reels, and stories directly for business accounts. This means you can create and schedule content without relying on mobile reminders. For personal profiles, however, users must use mobile reminders to publish posts and stories.

In this article, we will guide you through the steps to connect your Instagram account and schedule content for both business and personal accounts.

Schedule Posts for Instagram Business Accounts

Here is how you can schedule posts for your Instagram Business accounts:

  1. Go to Create Post and switch to the Instagram tab on the composer and select Post from the Post/ Story/ Reel toggle.

  1. Upload your content and compose your post where you can add up to 10 images or one video. You can upload the images or video from either the local device or from the cloud storage accounts of Google Drive, Dropbox, or Box.

💡Note:

SocialPilot supports the following video formats:

  • .avi
  • .mp4
  • .mov
  • .webm
  1. Customize your content by adding captions, hashtags, image tags, location tags, and first comment. Click here to understand how to create custom posts for Instagram.
  2. Now select the two publishing options: Direct publishing and Mobile Reminder. You can choose either one to publish a post/Reel or story from an Instagram public profile.

Schedule Posts, Reels, and Stories for Personal Instagram Profiles

The process of scheduling a post, Reel, or Story is the same for personal Instagram Profiles. However, all publishing is done through mobile reminders only. Instagram does not allow direct publishing on personal profiles to third-party tools.

  1. Access your dashboard and select your Instagram personal account.
  2. Go to the Accounts section and click on Posts in the sidebar menu.
  3. Select Create Post enter text, and upload images or videos.
  4. Choose Mobile Reminder as the publishing option.
  5. Set the date and time for the reminder.
  6. Once it is time, you will get a notification on your mobile where you can manually post the content you scheduled.
