How To Automate Replies for Messages and Comments
Managing high volumes of messages and comments can be a time-consuming task. With automated replies, you can ensure timely, on-brand responses to every interaction across your social profiles. Automated replies give you the flexibility to respond instantly, schedule replies, or approve them before sending—all from one place.
This guide explains how to set up automated replies for DMs and comments, including comment-triggered DMs and confirmation-based replies.

How To Automate Replies for Direct Messages
You can set up automated replies for incoming Direct Messages directly from your Inbox.
To automate replies for Direct Messages:
- Go to your Dashboard and open the Inbox from the left-hand sidebar.
- Next to the Add Inbox card, click the Automation icon.
- Select Auto Reply to a DM.

A dialog box will open where you can configure the automation.
In the pop-up, you will be required to:
- Select the social profile for which the automation should run.
- Choose a trigger to define which DMs receive automated replies. You can select any word or enter specific keywords separated by commas.
- Decide when the reply should be sent:
- Immediately
- After a duration
- After confirmation
- Choose between an AI-generated reply or a custom message.
- For AI-generated replies, you can define the tone: Concise, Friendly, Grateful, Empathetic, Professional, Apologetic, or Neutral.
Once configured, click Save to activate the automation.

How To Automate Replies for Comments
You can automatically reply to comments on your posts to engage with audiences instantly.
Automated Reply to a Comment
To set up an automated comment reply:
- Click the Automation icon.
- Select Auto Reply to a Comment.
A configuration pop-up will appear.
In the pop-up, you will be required to:
- Select the profile, then choose one or more live posts from the feed.
- Define the trigger by selecting Any Word or entering specific keywords separated by commas.
- Choose when the reply should be sent: immediately, after a duration, or after confirmation.
- Select an AI-generated reply or create a custom message, along with the desired tone.

Click Save to activate the automation.
Note:
You can have only one active automation per post at a time. To set up a new automation (for example, Auto DM for a comment), you must first turn off the existing automated reply for that post.
How To Send Auto DMs for Comments
You can automatically send a Direct Message when someone comments on a post.
Auto DM for a Comment (From the Comment Section)
- Open the Inbox where the post and its comments are visible.
- Click the Automation icon inside the comment box.
- In the pop-up, you will see two options:
- Auto Reply to a Comment
- Auto DM for a Comment
To switch from comment replies to auto DMs:
- Select Auto Reply to a Comment and turn off the toggle at the top.
- Then select Auto DM for a Comment and configure the automation using the same steps as comment replies.
Auto DM for a Comment (From the Inbox Overview)
You can also create a separate automation for a different post under the same profile.
- Click the Automation icon next to the Add Inbox option in the top-left corner.
- Select Auto DM for a Comment.
- Choose the profile and select the post you want to apply the automation to.
- Click Save.
- Open the automation template to ensure it is active.

Note:
The DM sent in response to a comment will not appear in the comment section. You can view it only by opening the DM Inbox for that account.
How To Send Replies After Confirmation
If you want to review replies before they are sent, you can enable confirmation-based replies.
To enable sending replies after confirmation:
- Open the DM section in the Inbox.
- Click the Automation icon.
- Select Auto Reply to a DM to open the workflow.
- Change the send action from Immediate or After Duration to After Confirmation.
- Click Save.

When a new DM is received, you will see a Confirm Reply option below the message. Click Confirm to send the reply.
Note:
You can deactivate or delete any automation at any time without affecting other workflows.
